(1) Section 12D. According to this, before declaring brain death, the doctor must inform his family members about the patient's brain death along with the actual details of the patient's health examination.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), in the case of a patient's family member not being available or the patient being neglected, the physician shall refer to Section 12D. According to this, the brain death of the patient should be declared and the relevant district administration office and ministry should be informed about it.
